Mewat is an educationally and socially one of the most backward regions with women literacy ranging between 10-15% in most villages. Mewat has 503 villages.
Anhad started working two years ago in a few villages running women empowerment centres.
A number of organisations- Mewat Vikas Sabha, Pehchan and Anhad are organising the First Mewati Women Convention.
