Join Hands to Defeat the forces of HATRED

After our state level ’Save Democracy’ campaign which has been going on for over 8 months now (which included Youth Aman Karwan covering 630 villages, Yuva Motorcycle Rally which covered 22 district headquarters, three state level youth conventions and many state level interactive programmes especially with youth, training camps for youth reporters and other activists) , we are launching the last 10 days of campaign in Mani Nagar with the opening of our campaign office.

Anhad is on the occasion releasing a CD of songs for peace and communal harmony to send out a message that forces of hatred must be defeated. It will be released by Mallika Sarabhai. The famous band Indian Ocean has especially sung a song in the CD. Other songs are the best prize winning songs by school children from across India.

An appeal to women signed by prominent women from Gujarat to defeat these forces will be released by the veteran social activist Ila Pathak.

An especially designed exhibition: How safe Our Women in Gujarat? will also be inaugurated. The exhibition is in the form of a story of a young scholar who has returned to Gujarat after 5 years and her conversation with her grandmother, a Gandhian. The exhibition has been conceived and designed by Shabnam Hashmi.

Anhad will be doing extensive campaign in the area for the next ten 10 days.

PS: On your way to the programme You are requested to experience the road to our campaign office –roads in the Chief Minister’s own constituency of ’Vibrant Gujarat’ and then of course to see the condition in which people live, very far away from the glittering advertisements on the television.
